Health Check

How to give LedgerLift read-only access to your Xero file

Two minutes, and nobody touches your file. You stay in control: you can remove the access at any time, and we'll tell you when we're finished.

Invite a read-only user

  1. Log in to Xero as a user with the Manage users permission (usually the owner or your bookkeeper).
  2. Click your organisation name, top left, then Settings, then Users.
  3. Click Invite a user.
  4. Enter first name Jared, last name Magee, email contact@ledgerlift.com.au.
  5. Under the role choose Adviser, then tick only Read Only. Leave payroll, bank account admin, manage users and contact bank account admin unticked.
  6. Click Send invite.

We accept the same day and start the review. We never post, edit or delete anything.

When we're done

We email your Health Check within five business days. Then remove the access: Settings, Users, click the user, Delete user. If you'd rather, tell us and we'll remind you.

If you use MYOB, QuickBooks or something else

Send these exports instead, as PDF or Excel, for the last full financial year and the current year to date. Most systems produce them from the Reports menu in a few minutes.

What we look at, and what we don't

How the file is set up and maintained: the chart of accounts, whether bank accounts and control accounts are reconciled, what sits in suspense and clearing accounts, leave and payroll liabilities, aged debtors and creditors, and whether the file could produce a monthly report an owner could rely on. We don't prepare or check your BAS, give tax advice, or change anything.
